Titan Alarm and Stryke Alarm Continue to Evolve with the Technological Age
We are very proud to announce new cutting edge technologies which are in the process of being developed and introduced for our sales representatives at both Titan Alarm and Stryke Alarm. These technological advances involve applications for Ipad and Android tablets that will revolutionize the manner in which sales representatives perform their challenging work.The first application is entitled, “Titan On The Go” and “Stryke On The Go”. This application is abbreviated as “TOG” and “SOG”. This application is currently at the testing stage but is anticipated to be released in the near future. The application for the Android is in development. This application will provide the sales representatives and managers with numerous advantages and conveniences accessible from their Ipads while they are out in the field.
The features of this application include but are not limited to enabling representatives to access information about households such as the names of the owners, the property addresses, property values, etc. It also allows representatives to add households and corresponding household information to the application. Representatives will be able to run credit checks directly from the application. The application will include a menu for individuals to input the status of a household such as “Not Interested”, “Not at Home”, “Sale Completed”, etc. Summary reports displaying performance over the last thirty days will be fully accessible for viewing on this application as well as an individual representative’s location for the past thirty days. Managers will have additional available features with this application including the ability to create, assign and delete areas as well as to view the Location and Summary reports of all representatives that report to that Manager.
The second application is called the “TitanSTK” and “StrykeSTK”. This application is ready for release for the Ipad and the application for the Android tablet is in development. This application will afford sales representatives an exceptional opportunity to display both slide shows and videos on the Ipad when visiting with customers. This will enable representatives to showcase extraordinary aspects of the company and its products and services when making their sales presentations. The third (3rd) application is entitled, “TitanDash” and “StrykeDash”. This application is currently in development and is anticipated to be available in the next few weeks for the Ipad and in the near future for the Android. This application will replicate the Titan and Stryke Dashboard found on their respective Stats webites. This application is intended to bring a convenience to the sales representatives by enabling them to access these features directly from their Ipads while out in the field. The representatives will have the exceptional features from these websites such as viewing reports, friend comparisons, information summaries, etc.

2008 Canada Robbery Stats
Residential robberies stable since 2005
Residential robberies are sometimes associated with the term “home invasion”. Using data from the UCR survey, home invasion can be defined in two ways. The first “narrow” definition simply includes all robberies that occur in a residential dwelling, as reflected in Table 4. The second “broad” definition includes robberies that occur in a residential dwelling as well as break and enters that have an associated violent offence. Regardless of which definition is used, the upward trend to 2005, followed by relative stability, is similar (Chart 6).

That said, older adults tend to be at greater risk for home invasion than for other types of robbery.7 In 2008, 6% of victims involved in a home invasion were 65 years or older, compared to 3% who were robbed on the street or other outdoor public location and 2% who were robbed in a commercial or institutional establishment. Information on robberies that have been solved by police shows that most robberies are committed by strangers, regardless of the particular location of the incident. Security Alarm Company‘s Charity Trip 2011 – Titan Alarm
Titan Alarm is thrilled to announce its 2011 charity trip to
Africa. This trip will launch the first of many trips for the Titan
organization and will establish a tradition of charitable donation that
defines the core values of the Titan Alarm family. It is an integral
part of Titan’s mission to share its success with those less fortunate.
The trip to Kenya will provide the ideal opportunity for all one hundred
and twenty participants to demonstrate their spirit of generosity and
hard work in a place where it is so genuinely needed and appreciated.
Titan Alarm was not content to simply contribute financially to
important global causes. Instead, the one hundred and twenty
participants insisted upon going above and beyond by both donating
significant earnings from their sales but also giving their time and
energies by traveling the globe and working on important projects within
the local communities in rather primitive conditions. This level of
devotion and sacrifice is a source of inspiration not only to the people
they are helping, but even more to the participants themselves. For
most of the participants, this experience will be a welcome return to
the uniquely rewarding work that can only come from making a difference
in the lives of those in genuine need.
The trip is being organized by Elisa Taylor who has over nine years of experience in coordinating trips with a charitable purpose. Elisa has a unique vision and commitment to insure that the vision of Titan to see that its donations reach its intended recipients is realized. Elisa has worked with Graham Wood, Titan’s founder on similar projects and they share the same aspiration for this Kenya venture. Elisa has been and continues to work tirelessly on exploring opportunities for the Kenya trip. The Kenya trip will begin on November 7, 2011 and will conclude on November 21, 2011. The first three days will be spent in Amsterdam where Elisa has arranged some exciting sightseeing opportunities including a canal boat tour, a visit to the Van Gough museum, and a tour around the city of Amsterdam.
On November 10, 2011, everyone will fly to Nairobi and will spend two nights in the main area to become immersed in the Kenyan culture. Elisa has arranged for several activities in Nairobi including a tour of the city, time in the national park within the city with an opportunity to see many of what are referred to as the big five animals such as elephants, lions, etc. On Saturday, November 12, 2011, Titan will have the distinct honor of seeing the first tangible results of its magnanimous donations when it visits the elephant sanctuary where ten elephants that have been saved and sponsored due to the generous donations of the Titan Alarm family are thriving. These donations will provide meals, medical care, assistance, caretaker fees, etc. for an entire year. These elephants are in need of care for various reasons including having been injured, having been separated from their mothers, etc. Each elephant will take on the name of the ten sales teams. These fortunate elephants are only the first of many recipients of the Titan Alarm generosity. There will be opportunities to take photographs with these precious elephants and their proud sponsors.
On Sunday, November 13, 2011, everyone will be travelling to the community approximately five hours outside of the city of Nairobi in Amboseli where they will begin the most challenging work for the trip. At this time, Elisa is investigating several different projects for the Titan Alarm participants to work on. However, it has been narrowed down to several vitally important and essential projects. One project would involve assisting in both the purchasing and installation of twenty-four three thousand gallon plastic water tanks for family homes in this area. This would accomplish an integral service for these families as it would enable them to have a vital function which they currently are lacking. A second possible project would involve the building of homes for families similar to the project which took place in Honduras. A third possible project would involve coordinating with the local communities to build schools. Regardless of which project is ultimately selected, all one hundred and twenty participants will work diligently on the project from November 14, 2011 till Saturday, November 19, 2011. The project will involve an enormous commitment of intensive hard but rewarding work. After each day of work, everyone will return to a lovely hotel in the Nairobi area to be arranged by Elisa.

Reliance Protectron 2011 Circle of Excellence Awards
Titan Alarm LTD was the proud recipient of several dealer
awards at the Reliance Protectron 2011 Circle of Excellence Awards
ceremony held in Ottawa, Ontario on October 3, 2011. Graham Wood, the
President of Titan Alarm LTD and Tyler Hatch, the Vice President of
Sales Operations, represented Titan Alarm LTD at the presentation. These
awards were particularly meaningful since Titan Alarm only recently
became affiliated as a dealer with Reliance Protectron in April of 2011.
Reliance Protectron currently works with one hundred and forty-eight
(148) dealers. As such, Titan Alarm had extensive competition for these
honors. Notwithstanding this competition, Titan Alarm was recognized for
its extraordinary achievements at this ceremonial event. Titan Alarm
LTD was given the “Life Safety”, “Diamond” and “Noteworthy” dealer
awards in acknowledgment for its outstanding performance as a dealer in
the Reliance Protectron dealer network.
Titan Alarm was the designated winner of the “Life Safety” dealer award. The criteria for the Life Safety award is that it is given to the dealer with the highest percentage of overall sales that include a life safety component such as a smoke or CO. Notwithstanding Titan Alarm’s recent membership into the Reliance Protectron network, it still achieved the requisite highest percentage to qualify for this award. During the presentation, the company was specifically recognized for its commitment to honoring its vision of prioritizing the protection of families and for incorporating the inclusion of at least one life safety device into all of its sales. Titan Alarm LTD is extremely proud of this particular award because it confirms that it is abiding by its core values.

Titan Alarm Canada: Charity Begins at Home (Part 1)
Titan Alarm is thrilled to announce its 2011 charity trip to Africa.
This trip will launch the first of many trips for the Titan organization
and will establish a tradition of charitable donation that defines the
core values of the Titan Alarm family. It is an integral part of Titan’s
mission to share its success with those less fortunate. The trip to
Kenya will provide the ideal opportunity for all one hundred and twenty
participants to demonstrate their spirit of generosity and hard work in a

Titan Alarm Celebrates the Achievements of Women in the Workplace
Titan Alarm is based upon a door-to-door sales model in which the sales force has traditionally been dominated by males. However, we are beyond thrilled that our female representatives have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with as demonstrated by their exceptional sales performance. For example, one of our female sales representatives was the number one (1) sales representative for all of Canada and the number two (2) sales representative for the entire company for the 2011 sales season. This individual has been promoted to the position of Assistant Manager for the 2012 sales season. Another female sales representative was the number three (3) sales representative in Canada and the number four (4) sales representative for the entire company for the 2011 sales season. This individual has also been promoted to the position of Assistant Manager for the 2012 sales season. These are just a couple of examples of the outstanding achievements of the talented female sales representatives that Titan is proud to count among its amazing sales team.
Another position which has typically been exclusively occupied by males is that of technicians. Titan Alarm regularly utilizes the services of technicians to install its alarm security systems and accompanying equipment. This requires expertise in being mechanical and having a capability for working with one’s hands and addressing technical issues within the homes and businesses of its customers. Titan Alarm is extremely proud of the fact that it employs females in this capacity. These talented female technicians have embraced the opportunity to be trained in and work in the area of installing alarm security systems and handling the challenges associated with the installation of alarms.
Titan Alarm has always embraced the opportunity to capitalize on the talent and expertise of female individuals in the workplace.
